Important Information for Customers

Transfer of Towergate Insurance Marine Insurance Policy to Navigators & General  (a trading name of Geo Underwriting)

With effect from 1st November 2025, all marine policies managed by Towergate Insurance are transferring to Geo Underwriting Services (FCA firm ref.308400), who are also part of the Ardonagh Group and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. From renewal, they will be managed under the Navigators & General brand, Geo Underwriting’s specialist Marine team.  

What does this mean for customers?

All policies will still be looked after by the same team you know and trust. Your current cover is not changing so you will still benefit from the same policy features you enjoy now.   

Current policies will continue to be managed under the Towergate Insurance brand, however, from renewal the name on your documents will change to Navigators & General. 

We’re really excited by this move, as Navigators & General have over 100 years experience in the boat insurance market and customers will benefit from this knowledge and expertise.
